Institutional Mechanism for Quality Improvement

The IQAC functions as a catalyst for institutional improvement by developing systems for conscious, consistent, and continuous enhancement of academic and administrative performance. It promotes innovation, stakeholder participation, quality assurance practices, and supports the achievement of the College’s Vision and Mission.

Monitor teaching-learning, academic performance, ICT-enabled education, and skill initiatives.

Research & Innovation

Accreditation

Coordinate AQAR, SSR, accreditation documents, institutional records, and evidence management.

Feedback

Collect, analyse, and act upon feedback from students, faculty, alumni, employers, and stakeholders.

Faculty Development

Encourage FDPs, FIPs, refresher courses, orientation programmes, research, and academic leadership.

Best Practices

Promote environmental consciousness, gender equity, inclusiveness, SDGs, and social responsibility.

Data & Audits

Maintain institutional databases and conduct internal reviews, quality audits, and assessments.

COMMITTEE-SPECIFIC GUIDELINES

Operational Guidelines

IQAC functions through systematic constitution, quarterly meetings, quality planning, stakeholder participation, documentation, evidence management, and accountability.

Constitution of IQAC

IQAC shall be constituted as per NAAC guidelines with institutional leadership and stakeholder representation.

  • Head of Institution.
  • Senior faculty and administrative officers.
  • Management, alumni, industry, and other stakeholders.

Meetings

IQAC meetings shall be conducted at least once every quarter during the academic year.

  • Special meetings when necessary.
  • Agenda circulated in advance.
  • MoMs and ATRs prepared and maintained.

Quality Planning

Annual quality plans and institutional quality objectives shall be prepared at the beginning of each academic year.

  • Aligned with strategic goals.
  • Mapped with NAAC indicators.

Stakeholder Participation

Feedback and suggestions from stakeholders shall be integrated into quality enhancement initiatives.

Evidence Management

Quality records shall be maintained in physical and digital formats for accreditation, audits, and compliance.

IQAC activities shall be conducted with transparency, accountability, and ethical responsibility.

Quality Compliance and Policy Review

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell shall function in compliance with NAAC guidelines, UGC regulations, University of Mumbai statutes, Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016, Government of Maharashtra policies, and the institutional quality assurance framework.
