The Alumni Committee is established to maintain a lifelong relationship between the institution and its alumni. It promotes alumni engagement, supports institutional development, and creates opportunities for networking, mentorship, professional guidance, and collaboration.

PURPOSE

Lifelong Institutional Bond

To foster a strong and meaningful relationship between alumni and the institution, while encouraging participation in academic, cultural, placement-related, and social development initiatives.

OBJECTIVES

Strengthening Alumni Relations

The Alumni Committee works towards structured alumni engagement, communication, mentoring, networking, recognition, and institutional support.

Alumni Database

Establish and maintain a comprehensive and updated database of alumni.

Communication

Strengthen communication and engagement between alumni and the institution.

Alumni Meets

Organise alumni meets, reunions, networking events, and engagement activities.

Mentorship

Facilitate mentorship and career guidance opportunities for current students.

Institutional Support

Mobilise alumni support for institutional development and social initiatives.

Achievement Recognition

Recognise and celebrate distinguished achievements of alumni.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Committee Responsibilities

The committee functions through coordinated participation of the coordinator, faculty members, and alumni representatives.

Faculty Members

  • Assist in organising alumni events.
  • Update alumni records and communication channels.
  • Facilitate alumni participation in institutional activities.

Alumni Representatives

  • Act as a bridge between alumni and the institution.
  • Promote alumni engagement initiatives.
  • Support networking and mentoring activities.
FUNCTIONS

Functions of the Committee

The committee performs structured functions to maintain alumni relations, enhance student development, and strengthen institutional progress.

Annual Alumni Meets

Organise annual alumni meets, reunions, and networking events.

Database & Directory

Maintain alumni databases, directories, and membership records.

Newsletters & Updates

Publish alumni newsletters, achievements, and institutional updates.

Guest Lectures

Facilitate guest lectures, workshops, and mentoring sessions by alumni.

Feedback Mechanism

Conduct surveys and feedback activities among alumni for improvement.

Professional Networking

Promote professional networking opportunities and alumni contributions.

Meetings

The committee shall meet at least twice during an academic year. Emergency meetings may be convened as required.

  • Meetings held twice in an academic year.

  • Minutes of meetings shall be recorded and maintained.

Membership of Alumni Association

All graduates of the institution shall be eligible for alumni membership.

  • All graduates are eligible for membership.
  • Membership procedure shall be decided by the Alumni Association.
  • Fees, if any, shall be approved by the institution.
